From under the rug is an exploration of creative writing and narrative as a means to explore voice, self and community. What are the experiences that shape how we move in the world? Why do we find it so hard to talk about them? What can sharing our stories do for our connection and healing? Through her project, Tara examines what it means to honour our lived experiences, and appreciate the duality of gaining strength and resilience through the vulnerability of speaking our truths. This project is housed out of Ryerson University, and is the support by the Jack Layton and John C. Eaton Chairs.
